M.E.I.D Initiative Coaches Training In Ibadan

Malaria Eradication for people with Intellectual Disabilities (MEID) initiative sponsored by Aspire Coronation Trust Foundation held a five days coaches training in Oyo State on the 5th to 9th of March 2018 at Cheshire Special School Ijokodo, Ibadan.

Participants were taught right fit facilitation methods and how to interact with persons with intellectual disabilities (PWIDs). Pre and post tests were administered to understand their knowledge on the subject matter i.e. Malaria, identify knowledge gaps and focus areas during training and quantify knowledge transfer post training. After the training, 30 volunteers who successfully passed the set criteria to become coaches were awarded certificates of merit.

The implementation kicked off on the 12th March 2018 in 5 inclusive schools in Ibadan.
